Newest member of the family

My son Shaggy Hair Boy and his fiancee Smiley Girl have decided to start their family. No, not a human baby. They've adopted a very cute Wheaten Terrier puppy named Omi.

Smiley Girl graduates from college this Saturday, and Shaggy Hair Boy finishes his Master's degree this summer. They've got an apartment, a puppy, and a piano. All the essentials of life.

Is he your first "grand-pet"? Or did you have others before. ;-)

I guess this is the first! I'm liking the grand-pet thing. I got to play with the puppy today, but I don't have to do any of the work involved with taking care of her.

Adorable. Is she a slightly muddy puppy in the picture, or is that her natural coloring?

Either way, hooray!

No, that's her coloring. In real life, she's actually kind of reddish.

Finally, another naked picture.

Jeff beat me to it.

Cool, the first grand-pet! It's the most perfect way to "have" a dog. But I doubt my boys will have dogs when they grow up, both are allergic, to cats too! :-(

She's absolutely adorable!

Omi is such a cute doggie. Lucky grandma you are!

My favorite dog was a Wheaton terrier named Monty. It's the kind I'll get- if I ever get a dog!

Oh my, Omi! How wonderful. My pup, now 2 years old, is a Wheaten Terrier named Foster. She has been a fur-tastic addition to our family. She loves the snowy winter and I bet Omi will too.
Enjoy her puppy-coloring while it lasts. Foster looked so different after her first grooming.
Looking forward to more puppy pics :-)
