Sunlight in mid-February

Sunshine in February

When I got home from work today, I realized that something was different: the sun was shining. It was still light out. And everywhere, snow was melting. Wet snow slid from tree branches. The banks along the driveway were shrinking. When I walked to the creek, I saw water instead of ice.

I noticed it was still light when we ate supper. The snow is really melting here too.
Have a good day.

We are gaining three and a half minutes of light every single day here in the upper corner of the country! Love it! :-)

Spring is coming!

I saw that too!

How come you've been gone since October? :-( I thought we had agreed we'd be the last bloggers standing! ;-) Glad you're back, though. Nov. 8 put a damper in lots of things, didn't it? And now it's just utter chaos and craziness.

Well, good to see you back here!

By the way...I came to your blog today to search for a soup recipe you posted in December 2009. I am happy to report that my home is currently filled with the aroma of a lovely CSA leftovers soup!

Oh, homemade soup! That sounds like a great idea.

We just noted the light after supper this weekend too. Lifts the spirits a bit.
